The Bugatti Veryrons…series

gold bugatti veyron

This one is a gold version owned by someone in Kuwait and it’s as enticing as the other limited editions. The Gold Bugatti Veyron gets its juice from the 8.0 W16 64 V engine with four turbochargers. The best part is that it’s not just garage-only as it has been spotted on roads in Kuwait by media and the public.

bugatti veyron linea vincero doro

When compared with the standard Veyron, the Bugatti Veyron Linea Vincero d’Oro comes with modified fenders, a shortened bonnet and an enticing front apron. The car’s front features LED daytime running lights and the stylized letter “V” that stands for Vincero. Other highlights include the newly developed side skirts and a new rear diffuser. One outstanding feature of the LINEA Vincero d’Oro ‘s design is the use of carbon fabric with built-in copper threads. The gold work can be seen on the wheels, V-shaped grille, door handles, mirror housings, fuel filler cap, headlight washer nozzles, headlight surrounds and roof. The interior of the car also flaunts gold accents

bugatti veyron bleu centenaire

Priced at 1.35 million Euros, the Bleu Veyron Centenaire was unveiled on the occasion of Bugatti’s 100th anniversary. The Bleu Centenaire is being said to have a top speed of 273 mph and it’s done in the company’s famous racing blue color. One of the most captivating features was the matte and glossy applications of the color on its body panels. The car comes painted in sprintblue matte and sprintblue gloss. The interior of the Centenaire is fitted in special “snowbeige” leather with quilting on the seats

bugatti veyron grand sport sang bleu

An exclusive supercar limited to only 20 units, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Sang Bleu flaunts a two-tone color combination, which has been made by combining carbon fiber and aluminum. The rear airscoops are the same as the body color and the wheels come with a Midnight Blue and Diamond Cut finish.

The Bugatti Veryrons

bugatti veyron

Superior in every sense, the Bugatti Veyron already has earned itself a name in car history as an undisputed classic. When the Bugatti Veyron was first announced, they said that the supercar would be limited to an exclusive production run of just 300 units. As if the original Bugatti Veyron supercar wasn’t enough, a number of limited edition, super luxurious Veyrons have been rolled out over the years.

Here’s a series of these cars..

Google launching a Chrome OS tablet on Verizon, goes on sale November 26

chromeos-tablet[1]

The title pretty much says it all on this one, folks.
Yes, our source tells us that Google is building a Chrome OS tablet. It's real, and it's being built by HTC. No surprise there, since HTC churned out the Nexus One for Google.
Yes, they plan to offer it in conjunction with Verizon -- which probably doesn't come as a shock to anybody at this point. The two recently tag-teamed that Net Neutrality proposal and they've had plenty of discussions in the past about cooperating in some capacity.
As for the launch date of November 26th, well, that's all kinds of brilliant. It's Black Friday 2010 and the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S. -- so what better day to have a shiny new tablet in the cabinet at Verizon kiosks and stores all over the country? You can bet Google's Chrome OS tablet will be heavily subsidized, and I'd go so far as to say it will be substantially cheaper than the iPad -- if not totally free -- with a Verizon data contract.
So what will the Google tablet pack for hardware? While our source didn't provide any specifics, my guess is that the device could be based on NVidia's Tegra 2 platform and sport a 1280x720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM, minimum 32GB SSD, WiFi/Bluetooth/LTE connectivity, GPS, webcam, and possibly expandable storage via a multi-card reader. Again, these were not given to us by our source, but expect it to be every bit as geek-tastic as the Nexus One -- Google won't want to disappoint its early adopters.

Samsung patents tablet with front and rear touch input

Samsung patents dual touch input tablet

Samsung has filed for a US patent for a tablet that has a traditional touchscreen on the front but adds a touch panel on the rear of the device as well, in the same fashion as the Motorola Backflip. The idea is to let users control the device without touching the screen, and perhaps allow them to perform multi-touch inputs from the screen side and the rear side at the same time.

Unlike the Galaxy Tab that is due for release later in August, there is no word when or even if the unnamed dual-touch input tablet shown in the patent drawings will make it to production. The Galaxy Tab will be powered by Android, and if this device were to use Android, Samsung would need to customize it extensively to take advantage of the dual touch input. [via UnwiredView]

3D Printed Fabrics

“Instead of producing textiles by the meter, then cutting and sewing them into final products, this concept has the ability to make needle and thread obsolete,

3D printers, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, Freedom of Creation, eco-textiles, eco-friendly fabrics, eco-fashion, sustainable fashion, sustainable style, green fashion, wearable technology

Three-dimensional printing may have little in common with sustainability—at first blush, anyway—but the rapid-prototyping process has a litany of surprisingly green benefits. The emerging technology, which uses ultraviolet beams to fuse layers of powdered, recyclable thermoplastic into shape, leaves behind virtually no waste. Its localized production and one-size-fits-all approach also racks up markedly fewer travel miles, requires less labor, and compresses fabrication time to a matter of hours, rather than weeks or months.

Logitech Security Cameras!

Logitech Alert Security Cameras: Keep Watch From Anywhere

Introducing Logitech Alert Digital Video Security:

Be There Even When You're Not

Logitech Alert Delivers Complete HD Video Security System, No-Hassle Setup, Motion-Triggered Alerts, That You Can Watch from Anywhere

FREMONT, Calif. - Aug. 3, 2010 - Logitech (SWX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI) today introduced Logitech® Alert™, a complete HD digital video security system that lets you keep an eye on what matters most. Whether it's looking in on the house while traveling, checking in on the baby while you're at work, or monitoring your second home, the Logitech Alert™ 750i Master System and the weatherproof Logitech Alert™ 750e Outdoor Master System with night-vision let you be there when you're not, by providing everything you need to monitor your home inside and out. The new Logitech Alert master systems come with a smart HD camera, powerful PC and Web software, and free remote viewing on a PC or Mac® computer, or smartphone.

To support easy expansion, Logitech also introduced the Logitech Alert™ 700i Add-On Camera and the Logitech Alert™ 700e Outdoor Add-On Camera. And for those who are often away from home, Logitech Alert™ Web and Mobile Commander is an optional premium service that lets you watch video that is recorded and stored on your camera and manage settings and alerts from the Web or your smartphone. Logitech also plans to bring Logitech Alert to the TV later this year, by enabling Logitech Revue™ with Google TV™ customers to view who is at their front door or check in on the baby in the crib, without leaving their couch.

"The video security market is characterized by expensive, hard-to-install and hard-to-use security systems, as well as poor-quality monitoring cameras," said Eric Kintz, vice president and general manager of Logitech's video business. "As part of our vision to bring HD video to anyone, anywhere, Logitech is thrilled to introduce a completely new video security solution to consumers and small businesses, which offers HD video quality and motion-triggered live viewing and recording at attractive price points."

No-Hassle Setup

Setting up your Logitech Alert security system just takes minutes with a simple three-step process - install the Logitech Alert software, connect to your network, and plug in your camera. Logitech Alert features HomePlug® AV networking, which means connecting your Logitech Alert camera is as easy as plugging in a toaster. There's no new wiring or networking hassles - HomePlug AV uses your existing electrical wiring and outlets to connect your cameras to your network.

Motion-Triggered Alerts and Recording – Capture Only What's Important

Logitech Alert smart cameras also feature a built-in DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and automatically record video when motion is detected, letting you capture only important events. The Logitech Alert Commander software lets you define up to 16 motion zones, allowing you to easily pay attention to critical areas of your home while ignoring others – reducing false recordings. Logitech Alert cameras come equipped with a 2GB MicroSD card for storage, eliminating the need for your PC to be always on. The card can give you enough space for up to a week of video based on the amount of motion-triggered recording in a typical home. The recorded video is automatically backed up when your PC is connected to your network.

Capture More Clearly, Event at Night or in Any Condition

Every camera in Logitech's new video security lineup captures high-definition 720p video and features a 130-degree wide-angle lens, making it easier for you to recognize the faces of potential intruders or the license plates of suspicious vehicles. The Logitech Alert 750e and 700e feature IP55 (International Protection Rating) certified, weatherproof outdoor cameras with powerful HD night-vision, allowing you to monitor in complete darkness regardless of weather conditions.

Watch From Anywhere

Logitech Alert Commander software allows you to easily configure your video security system, watch live video, archive recorded video on your PC and review the recordings captured by your camera. The Logitech Alert master system includes free remote viewing of live video through a browser on a secure site from any Internet-connected computer or through Logitech's free smartphone applications for iPhone®, Blackberry® and Android®. For power users who would like more control on the go, the premium Logitech Alert Web and Mobile Commander provide you all the access of your Logitech Alert PC software, even when you're away from home .

Easily Expandable

There's no need to limit your security coverage to a single camera. Logitech Alert is designed to be easily expandable. You can set up as many locations as you want and mix and match up to six Logitech Alert cameras per location- indoors and out.

Indonesian parliament pwned by porn

As noted earlier today, the government of Indonesia recently commanded ISPs to block all internet porn within the country by the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan—August 11— or else. Today, some sneaky prankster managed to broadcast hardcore porn inside the Parliament, during government sessions. "The X-rated footage was visible to staff and journalists for 15 minutes before security staff were able to turn off the stream, local media report. The TVs are used to provide information on the day's political schedule."

Smart Bike…from…………………………Apple!

On August 5, 2010, the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that reveals various concepts behind a newly advanced Smart Bicycle System in development. The premise is rather like Apple's Nike + iPod system for runners except for cyclists. While the system is for individuals, it's also designed to work with teams of cyclists so that they could communicate with each other on-the-fly about course difficulty or perceived problems. The Bicycle system monitors speed, distance, time, altitude, elevation, incline, decline, heart rate, power, derailleur setting, cadence, wind speed, path completed, expected future path, heart rate, power, and pace. The system could utilize various sensors built-into the iPhone in addition to working with sensors already built-into the bike itself. Apple's patent is extraordinarily detailed and packed with interesting twists that the sporting cyclist will really appreciate

Maldives New Airport Plan

I will go to Maldives…..when this Airport is completed!!

UK firm haptic architects together with norwegian narud stokke wiig architects developed a strategy for a new international airport in the maldives. currently home to a domestic airfield,
hanimaadhoo island is to be completely transformed with new terminal building in the lagoon. haptic and narud stokke wiig proposed a single terminal building, with all functions under
a dramatic curving roof. the roof is formed as a timber diagrid structure with a lightweight,  highly insulated skin. the terminal employs several passive design measures, from north facing
rooflights and large roof overhangs, to minimise solar gain, to rainwater harvesting and roof  mounted photovoltaics.
the new airport embraces the maldivian culture and natural setting through preservation of the island's coastline and landscape and in the selection of natural materials. the clarity
of architectural form, with fully glazed facade and floating roof form provides - a fitting gateway to one of the world's most beautiful destinations.

Switched using a motion sensor within the tyre, high powered, tough and durable LED bulbs are built into the tread or wall of the tyre and can either flash or be permanently on, so when the wheel turns at any speed, a perfect ring of light is formed whilst continually and perpetually creating it's own power.

Manufacturing bicycle tyres with LED lights already built in has significant benefits, not least that pedal cycles become aligned with all road vehicles by having permanent running lights on day and night to maximise visibility regardless of lighting conditions.

Driving From Italy To China ... With No Driver

image

It's a modern-day version of Marco Polo's journey halfway around the world — but is anyone at the controls?

A team of Italian engineers on Tuesday launched what has been billed as the longest-ever test drive of driverless vehicles: a three-month, 8,000-mile road trip from Italy to China, not in search of silk, but to test the limits of future automotive technology.

Two bright orange vehicles, equipped with laser scanners and cameras that work in concert to detect and help avoid obstacles, are to brave the traffic of Moscow, the summer heat of Siberia and the bitter cold of the Gobi desert before the planned arrival in Shanghai at the end of October.

What we are trying to do is stress our systems and see if they can work in a real environment, with real weather, real traffic and crazy people who cross the road in front of you and a vehicle that cuts you off.

- Alberto Broggi, project leader

"What we are trying to do is stress our systems and see if they can work in a real environment, with real weather, real traffic and crazy people who cross the road in front of you and a vehicle that cuts you off," said project leader Alberto Broggi.

The road trip consists of two pairs of vehicles, each with a driven lead van followed by a driverless vehicle occupied by two technicians, whose job is to fix glitches and take over the wheel in case of an emergency.

The driverless vehicle takes cues from the lead van, but will have to respond to any ordinary obstacles or dangers. The two pairs alternate stretches along the route to China.

"We will definitely need some help by humans. It is not possible to have 100 percent driverless. This is why I call it a test, not a demonstration," Broggi said.

Governments have yet to write rules of the road for driverless vehicles, so the team has obtained prior permission from all countries along the route to carry out the experiment. To protect themselves from liability, they are placing one of the technicians in the driver's seat, ready to assume the controls or slam a red shutdown button if necessary.

The technology developed by VisLab, an artificial vision and intelligent systems lab at the University of Parma run by Broggi, might one day allow driverless vehicles to transport goods across Europe.
